Wellspring completed its Summer Discovery Camp on August 14, 2025 with an end of program celebration consisting of certificates, food, and speakers, including State Senator Mary Cavanagh. The program was funded by the Ballmer Foundation and was a great success. The program ran for 6-weeks in July and August, Monday through Thursday, 8-4pm. Twenty-eight youth, grades 4th through 8th, engagement in math and literacy 3 hours each day, followed by 5 hours of enrichment activities. These activities included recreation with the YMCA, swimming lessons with the Detroit Recreation Department, art classes with Live Coal, and STEM programming with Mad Science.
